Item description

EXCEPTIONAL FUNCTIONALITY 89600 km on the clock onl. This car is exceptional value at $10,000. It is priced to sell quickly but i am negotiable...I have owned this magnificient specimen for 5 and a half years and i purchased it from the original owner who fastidiously maintained it for its first 33 years...He was an absolute perfectionist and would not allow anybody but himself to drive the car...It has always been garaged...The mileage is genuine and the original owner can be contacted to verify this or anything else about the car... Over time he added the sunroof, LTD electric motors for the front bucket seats, quality SonyCD/Radio Stereo System, Alarm System, Fibreglass Rear Louvres, Aunger Headlight Covers, Full black Sheepskin Seat Covers front and rear, LTD Interior Hood Lamps, Remote Boot Release, Dash Cover, Boot Light and fire extinguisher... The paint is original, never been sprayed and there are some rub marks on the rear edges from car covers over the years...There is one very small dent above one of the rear tail lights...There is some light surface rust in a couple of spots but hardly noticeable...The body has been completely rust-proofed... It is a genuine 'S Pack' option with added factory options such as Sunvisor, Driver's Weathershield, Front Nudge Bar, and Factory Mud Flaps all round... Of course it still has the original factory 5.8lt (351 c.i.) Cleveland 2V crossflow Engine...It was originally ordered as a 4 Speed Manual but as he aged he replaced that with a C10 3 Speed Automatic with T-Bar Floor Shift...The Limited Slip Diff and 4 Wheel Disc Brakes are original Factory items...The original Power Steering is still operational but i have removed the Air Conditioning unit from under the bonnet as it had seized up from lack of use basicly... I have modified the engine to improve performance and fuel economy...the heads have been modified to use unleaded fuel and i always use 98 octane for optimum performance and general engine health...Around 3000km ago i removed the engine and replaced the oil pump, fuel pump, water pump, welsh plugs and front and rear engine seals and torque converter seal just to freshen things up...I installed a double row timing chain, mild street cam, hardened pushrods and new cam followers, heavy duty valve springs, better quality harmonic balancer, Wieand alloy intake manifold, Holley 650cfm 4bbl vacuum carby, chrome sports air cleaner, quality fuel filter and very expensive ceramic coated Jet Hot extractors...I always use the very best brands available especially when servicing anything...I even removed the entire dash to replace the heater radiator unit...a most intricate operation indeed... . It still has the standard exhaust single system...I have replaced the radiator with a new Desert Cooler Aluminium unit that has twin electric thermo fans...very expensive also..It is currently fitted with the original S-Pack 6inch rims with perfect dress rims...the genuine 12 slot ROH chromies are for sale also...front is 8 inch and rear is 10 inch...some imbosile knifed two of the tires so i just refitted the original wheels for the time being...they still have around 70% tread on them...I have recently replaced the dizzy, leads and plugs... The interior is perfect apart from some small drill holes in the console where a CB was fitted (he was a truckie)...it all looks brand new inside...the factory colour coded striped fabric seats are in amazing condition...the black door trims and seat surrounds look just as the car came out of the factory..the roof lining and carpet are also perfect...in fact the whole car is in remarkable condition for its 37 years...All enquiries welcome of course but please no time wasters and tyre kickers...and the price is negotiable so at least you know where we both stand...Cheers, Colin...
